Fired up the PA this morning to go exploring. Got down the road a few hundred feet and noticed I had a CEL. Running fine, but up to the dealer I went. Initially told me 3 weeks to get it in. After some negotiations, told me to bring it in Monday. Hopefully it’s a dummy code. Nothing shows up in the diagnostic menu.
From experience, this is never going to be resolved. My dealer had HD techs dial in to the bike and after many hours they said they fixed it but the problems reared their ugly heads again on the ride home after it was “fixed”. You are going to have to accept there will be ongoing software issues with this bike. It’s a first gen disaster. Every issue I had came back at some point. HD can engineer hardware but know nothing about software. The UI is terrible, the reliability is also bad. We are the beta testers at our own expense. They have a very capable engine but handicapped it with the worst UI and unreliable ECU.
Edit: I had codes which showed up in the menu and could be cleared but I also had ones which wouldn’t clear no matter what I did.
Does it have codes? Check your Manuel on how to read codes.
In the diagnostic page, there were no codes showing up.
But just got off the phone with the dealer and apparently the CEL came on because the rear tire pressure was at 36 psi. Aired it up to 42 psi & the CEL cleared. I thought the TPMS would show an issue. Anyone else experience this?
While it’s in, my quick shifter arrived and is getting installed. I know I read a couple of issues where it was installed backwards. Any other issues I should look out for?

I’m not a huge fan of the UI either. Especially not having CarPlay/Android Auto. HD’s navigation app is clunky, too many bugs, and way behind the times that 3rd party apps do easily. Hell, even Apple’s Maps is a huge improvement over HD’s.
Also, just purchased a Cardo BT unit, that when paired to the bike, won’t let me take calls or use voice commands. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the bike or the Cardo, but when it’s not paired with the bike, I can do both. When I get my bike back, I’ll try to get Cardo’s customer service & see if it’s a known issue.
HD expects you to pay the kind of money you do just so you can say you own a Harley.
CEO force honest dealers out in favor of the big corp ones.
They once in power have no reason to provide service.
There you sit new bike and can not get it fix. Not just the PA. there are plenty of bran new bikes waiting to get fixed because dealers have cut back and have no reason to get you going.
My bike has finally come home, the dealer delivered it yesterday. In the 3 weeks I've owned it, my PA-S has had the software update, a new battery installed, a new radiator hose installed, & a new front header O2 sensor installed. It's nasty outside & I'm tired so I won't be riding today, but I'm anxious to get a ride in. My Villain2Hero side cages with Pelican cases should arrive this week along with a replacement for the rear pillion (it had a small hole that I just couldn't stomach). I'll update this thread if any more problems arise.
My '22 PAS was having ARH and code issues more or less from the get go. Bike has been at dealer three times for a total of just over 18 weeks. Finally got the MOCO to authorize new starter clutch and stator. All issues resolved -- except for the nail in the rear tire that happened while the bike was at the dealer. They've offered to order a new tire and install it .......... at my cost.

Sounds a little too much like redhead I dated briefly, serious head turner and a wild *** ride when you got there but the maintenance was way too much...
