Default That perfect line, may not be so perfect!

I'm doing a paint job to my fenders and gas tank, just a simple green racing strip down the middle with flat black on the sides. Well, I finished that paint job today. I took my fenders out of the oven (not my kitchen) and when I removed all painters tape, MY LINES WERE NOT STRAIGHT! Literally the worst thing ever. But that being said, I'm not too heavily invested in the paint department so I didn't take a big monetary hit. However, I will be sanding down and starting all over once the weather clears up and I was wondering if anyone had any tips, tricks, methods, websites, kits, etc. to help me get a 3 inch racing stripe down the middle of my rear fender, a 2 inch racing stripe down my gas tank, and a 1 1/2 inch racing stripe down my front fender? It's the winter season so I have a few weeks before I would like to finish.
