Top is from right before I put the new wheels, pulley and had her regeared (30t-70t). Second is the wheels and rear pulley. Still need to get some better pics with the new wheels. Lots more black coming now that I have my powder coat setup, up and running Black and chrome is a classic look and will always be around. Cant go wrong with black and chrome. New fenders and taillight, move the license plate and get the seat redone. Lots to do and so little time (and money) to do it. 117 kit is in, want to change out the cams and jets then get her re-dynoed with some wideband O2 sensors (still need to order them) next.
Nice looking bike pull the reflectors off to clean it up!!!! For the OP I’ve done a bunch of powdercoat on mine and it cleans things up especially on a black bike
I've never seen an all black bike that I really liked. IMO the all blacked out thing is like wearing a skull face mask. On most folks it doesn't quite pull off the sinsiter Mad Max impression they're trying to project. But hey they say life is a stage so play the part.
Blacked out my '03 FLTRI. After 2 years, it all started looking cloudy. Also hated that it looked plain. Not enough contrast. The all blacked out bikes just look boring to me now. Like someone went to the junkyard and spray bombed everything before throwing it together. No thanks.
I've blacked out every bike I've owned since I first did it on my '79 Low Rider.
Prior to that I had chromed out bikes and got sick of raggin' on them all the time.
Going black was the best idea I ever had, no regrets here.
All of that ^ AND Craigslist is full of stock parts for pennies on the dollar should you change your mind.
