Default clutch whinning

So I needed to replace the shifter shaft out of the tranny on my 03 flhti, so I tore everything down and replaced all the bearings and seals while I was in there. When I put it all back together and started it up, I got a loud whinning sound from the clutch hub area. Using both the adjuster cable and the clutch hub adjuster screw I did a full range of adjustments resulting in the whinning getting quieter over time as well as with a lot of play in the lever. It was louder with a tighter adjustment (lever hard to pull in). When the lever is out the whinning is faint, but with the clutch lever pulled in the sound becomes louder and when the engine is revved with the clutch lever pulled in, it becomes even more prominent and goes with the speed of the engine. The clutch sat on a table dry for awhile...could it be too dry now? Any other ideas or suggestions? I have a video so you can hear it, but its not uploading...I'll keep trying.

Throw out bearing failing could cause that sound.
