soft 02 well you see, I'm 59 and have no intention getting and other bike before I passe away, so I'd like to extend the life of my bike buy adding this 6 speed that should ease off ..some like that,,,
Are you looking at a Baker or SE cassette? The 5 speeds are better than the 07+ 6 speed. Are you having issues or want to change your final gear ratio? Are you trying to lower your rpms at freeway speed?

I don`t think a six speed transmission will make any difference in how long the engine lasts, besides, the cost of a good 6 speed transmission is as much as an engine rebuild...
I had no intention of getting another bike back when I was 59 (I`ve only had the current ride for 26 years). But I`m sneaking up on 61 now, and am seriously considering a new bike...

You're in good company! I've had my Evo since new in 1990 and am a bit further down life's weary highway than you youngsters - but I reckon I'll carry on with it. Now a 5-speed Baker might be nice - with the superior gear changing they are said to give.
