I'm working on a 03 Heritage with a trike conversion. It has a Champion reverse shift on the right side of the transmission. When I got the bike it was stuck in 1st gear. I took the trans top cover off then the shifter cam assy. I found 2 gears stuck together. After freeing them everything else looked good. I put it back together, lifted a rear wheel off the lift and shifted up and down through all gears several times. Took it for a test ride. It shifts hard. Shifted through all 5 gears. Went to shift down and it won't go from 3rd to 2nd. I pulled over and shut the bike off. Rocked it back and forward while trying to shift down. Finally got it to shift to 1st. Rode it back to the shop and stuck above 3rd again. Am I looking at a transmission rebuild?
