Whoohoo
I finally got to ride yesterday after all the damn rain we've had after Christmas. I started out here in Lancaster where it was a chilly 35F at about 8:30am stoped at local HD dealer for a neopreme face wrap since my thin balaclava wasn't doing the job. I rode all damn day . By the time I got about 50 miles away, it was starting to get warmer so I peeled a layer of clothes. I rode all around some canyons on the other side of the 14 from Castaic lake and then headed to Hollywood where it was like a late spring day. Had a couple of cool ones and some hot wings and rode back via freeway and the Soledad Canyon then across the desert to the house. I slept really good last night.
Now, I'm waiting for my wife to get outa bed so we can ride up to Ventura for the night.
I'm gonna check the weather but I think it'll be fine. It's only about 1.5 to maybe 2 hours from the house. If we go up the 126, we pass through a buttload of orange orchards and beautiful green valleys. Then we come out along the coast. It's a great ride and I should wait for another month but hey I got Monday off and a good pair of thermal underwear.

Well, it's Tuesday and I'm back at work.
We rode up to Santa Barbera on Sunday. It was about 72 degrees and Sunny. There was a buttload of Harleys out. We hung out on the beach for a while and got drunk. All of the canyon roads there are closed so we couldn't ride on them but it was great just to ride up and down the coast. Sure does suck to have to be back at the office but if I don't work, I can't afford to ride.
Sorry for you guys that are stuck in the buttcold weather. Hang on a little longer and Spring will appear.
