Florence, SC
Hey guys, I'm gonna be taking a trip within a few weeks and I'm looking for a decent, but not too expensive motel in Florence.
I'm not familiar with this town and I have no idea of where/what I should avoid so I'm hoping that I can get some good info.
Thanks!

Use to go up there for "swamp fox" golf weekend and stayed at Palmetto Inn.
It was privately owned but I believe it sold out to a chain..
basic motel for around 70-80 a night......I95 @ exit 157...
it puts you about 5 miles out of town... eat at Red bone alley at least once, you'll like it.
