Question Boom Box .GPX file input

Trying to map a 3,000 mile trip to Rolling Thunder and while everything I read seems to say it is possible I am unable to load a .gpx file from Google Maps. I di the conversion, the file is found and the select all button appears. What seems to be missing is the button that pops up between the up down arrows to finish the job.

I read about the 9 way-point limitations from several years ago. Is this still the issue? nIf so, Shame on Harley and Shame on Boom!

Any suggestions?
Any other products that actually work?

My final frustration... why does the NAV system not simply have a feature to allow me to tell it to avoid Tolls, Hwy, or in fact anything that will give me a usable 100 dollar system?

Let me start by saying I don't use Google for my trip management.

I'm not sure what your particular is, but I have had issues importing long routes. I try to break mine down into "day trips" to keep the gps from bogging down. So I create a route file for each day. I did a 5600 mile week, including 1500 and 1000 mile days, last spring using this method.

The 9 waypoint limitation way changed quite a while ago, so that isn't specifically the problem (assuming you don't have old software).

The 9 waypoint limit was increased to 99 awhile ago, but personally, I often cant get a route with over 50 waypoints to import, so I've set my personal limit to 45. YMMV

When my gpx files failed to import, I'm pretty sure I got 'flashdrive icon' between the up/down arrows on the right hand side, but when I pressed it the flashdrive icon, it would blink forever and not actually load ............... and I think I ended up having to do a Boom reset to clear it.

How many waypoints does your route have ?

I'm pretty sure I dont use 'select all' - I think I select the 2nd item on that list.

Maybe check out this video:

I use www.furkot.com for my mapping needs. I am able to upload GPX generated routes with this tool...

I use tyre.it runs on a google maps overlay. Depending on what level you have you can get gas and lodging info as well. Used to map a 10 day road trip to CO last summer with no issues. The base app is free.
