Infotainment says cant read database
I've created and imported several routes in the past with no issues. Today I created a route in ride planner and tried importing it into the 6.5 Infotainment system and it says "Importing to NAV" for a couple of minutes then Says "Import failed, No response from system bus" If I try it a second time it says Importing for a few seconds then says "Import failed unable to read NAV Database". I tried to look at my saved address and it is empty. I pulled the main fuse for a minute to try and clear everything. Then I got back into the NAV and I could see my saved address. I tried Importing again and the same thing happened and then I wasn't able to see my saved address again. I've tried different USB drives with the same results. I'm suppose to lead a group ride tomorrow. Any ideas on how to clear this issue?

short answer- when you load don't select all, select each route only not the waypoints and addresses and try that, MOST of the stuff in the route, restaurants etc should be there

I had a similar issue and I had to force a factory reset.

After the reset previous trips and settings were all reset to factory settings and I was able to import GPX files again.
Good luck

I solved the problem. I downloaded a route I had previously made and used and tried importing it into the bike. It loaded with no issues. I deleted the GPX file I made today from my computer and then downloaded it from Ride Planner again. Then copied it to the USB drive I just used and tried importing it on the bike. It gave me the same error messages I have been getting today. I deleted the route in Ride planner and rebuilt the exact same route, saved it, downloaded to my computer then to the same USB drive. Tried importing it to the bike. It imported without any issues. So I'm guessing the GPX file I made earlier today was somehow corrupt in the HD Ride Planner.

The answer is that you have a destination name with a special character in it. I did the same thing and while in the middle of a long trip my NAV freaked out too.

It's absurd that an issue like this can go unresolved for so long. Hey HD, fix the f'ing BOOM & NAV software NOW.

We postponed the ride till next Sunday due to the rain. We are meeting in Lee's Summit at 1:00 and riding up to Lexington taking Hwy 224 along the Missouri river then down to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and the Confederate Memorial State Historic Site near Higginsville. Then back to Lee's Summit. Ride planner shows the route is approximately 110 miles and 2.5 hours.
