Planning a trip for fall from Slidell, la to Morton, Il (right outside of peoria) then over to Kokomo, IN and back home.Will stay2 or 3 nights in Illinois and 1 in either Kokomo or Indianapolis.What are some good places to stop on the way? Where would be a decent place to stay on the road for a night or two where I wouldn't have to worry too much about my scoot? Any info is appreciated

How are you coming up through Illinois. after you leave Morton take 29 north to route 6 and go east. When you get to Utica Go to starved rock state park, There are cabins there reasonbly priced where you can keep an eye on your bike.
