Damn nice guy.

I think I put in 5.8 gallons just down the road a bit....like 10 miles.

I was worried as hell.
There are a lot of lonely no fuel stretches out here in Colorado. I know most of them and plan ahead for those, but every once in a while a curve ball gets thrown at me.

Headed out at 9am, since that's when the HD dealership, 10 minutes from our opened.

After that stop it was on the slab towards Fargo, but first a stop in Jamestown.

Once in Fargo we made a stop at Fargo HD, then back to the slab.

Minnesota was just a few minutes away, and that's where we left the interstate behind.

We stopped in Dteroit Lakes, I think it was, at an overlook. We took in the lake breeze for a bit, then headed into Baxter.

Viking HD was the next stop.....yes that's 4 dealerships in o e day.

We got checked in to our hotel, showered the grime off, and headed out to find dinner.

We found a nice bar and grill which had an awesome wood fired pizza.

Time to rest up, and get ready for a day along Lake Superior.

Another clear morning. The only down side, I have a sore throat, so that's fun.

We should roll past 3000 miles traveled today. We may be home tomorrow.

We headed out of Baxter MN bright and early. We went to Duluth, via the scenic route. I don't miss the interstate.

We stopped at our final HD dealership....I lost count, 8-10 I'm sure.

We traveled along Lake Superior to Silver City Michigan, where we are staying the night. Our hotel is just a few yards from the lake.

Tomorrow we head home, which is around 380 miles from Silver City....could be more if I wander a bit.

I'll post up some pics later.

Yesterday we headed home. It was another great weather day. The risds home were scenic. I once again a voided as much of the busy roads as possible. We did go through Oshkosh, but we went through off the beaten path.

We stopped at one last dealership, in Oconomowoc. I just needed to stretch, the wife needed a shirt..needed.

We stopped at Knuckleheads in Eagle Wisconsin for a bite to eat. Food was good, service was good, and the place was packed with bikers....go figure.

From there it was a out 100 miled until home. We did take the scenic route home yesterday which added about 50 miles to our day....it was worth it.

Here are some pics....we didnt get many yesterday.

A beautiful morning on Lake Superior.

Ready or not, its homeward bound.

Last HD stop.

Home.

We traveled 3,525.9 miles. No issues with the bike, or each other...lol.
