The good news is today was spectacular weather and we put four hours on the scooters with some friends.
I put a new seat on my Road King, now I can get 150 miles or so out of my bad hip instead of 50 without needing a 10 minute break. Thats OK though, after 150 I am ready to stop and look around a bit and have a cold drink. New hip this winter I hope.

Are you in the same physical shape now? Like when you finally got the handlebars figured out? Being less active and having some old injuries (they come back to haunt you) do make a difference. I know.

I won't be long until I turn SEVENTY YEARS OLD!

And being and old white guy with no butt even when riding in a nice car a break every 150 miles or so is a darned good idea not only for the butt, but also for the legs, the back and the bladded.

Regardless of mileage, my wife wants a "comfort break" every 1-1/2 hours.

Bone and tissue change shape with time. Steel and plastic doesn't.

It's difficult to respond as there is not one size that fits all. Everyone as they age have different tolerances and physical ailments. But I believe that keeping fit helps offset the aches and pain that comes with age. Just got into Florida from Maryland, first day 770 miles in 10 hours, and 373 miles the next day.
In Florida I ride my Bicycle 20+ miles every day and work out with weights. 10 sets of 50 curls with 20lb dumbbells. Did the saddle sore 1000 last year.

Turning 73 next month I just feel blessed that I am able to still do these things. Just wishing all forum members good health and riding for many more years.

Your are getting older. What felt cool then kind of sucks now and in a couple more years it will suck more.. Maybe seat settle a bit lower.
