Remembering..
Just looking at the Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Colorado pics from 2020, 2 weeks.
Damn that was fun, incredible scenery.
Not sure I could do that again as I'll be 70 next year, but the blood is pumping

So where you headed RutRoo?
Been to Tenn/NC twice. Stayed in Tellico Plains, TN hitting the Dragón and beyound.
I too want one more ride. I think this year, although I've said that the past two.

79th year. In a couple of weeks I’m heading over glacier to the black hills to meet my BIL. Ride the hills, ride Beartooth, spend a day in Cody at the museum, then through the Lamar Valley and exit West Yellowstone, back roads to Lolo then to CdA where my BIL will visit his sister. Then head back to the Hills via Glacier going to the sun again. Part ways in the southern black hills. Him headed east and home and me, the longest way to get back to the panhandle.
I thought it was over. Day rides pretty much are, but touring still holds its allure. Two years ago my wife quit riding two up, so it took a while for me to adjust to solo again. It was hard at first, mentally, but with all the ailments, they are mitigated by time looking over the handlebars. I know the time will come. I’m pushing for my 90’s. Hopefully my sporty, but a 250 enduro at age 97 would be fine. I suspect gas prices will stop me before my 16 year old brain says, that is enough. Ride, fish, hunt, what else as I close in on 80.

Never been to the Pacific Ocean. Yosemite is as far west I've been. Would like to make it to the west coast on my next epic adventure. I would like to visit Teddy Roosevelt National Park in ND. Go to the coast and return by way of Big Bend National Park. I will go out of my way to avoid interstate, tourist cities and crowds in general. My wife use to ride her own and we had some great trips but 3 years ago she gave up motorcycle riding. Now all my riding plans are just me.

Visited TRNP 2 yrs ago (Medora, south unit). 70 here, planning and looking at maps for my longest trip yet. If you don't do it now, when?

I’m 75 and leaving Tucson Thursday for 11 day solo ride heading to Yosemite NP and then down to Vegas. My wife might have come but it’ll be too hot for her and I couldn’t do this trip any other time. So far still doing at least one long trip a year. Riding a trike now which makes it somewhat easier and this should be a great trip, but definitely wondering how many of these I got left. Gotta stay healthy enuf to do it them and the trips have to remain more fun than not.

Did you eat at the pitch fork restaurant/Cafe in Medora. I like that kind of attractions. Swinging steak grill in Mexican Hat. Those touristy chuck wagon dinners. I know they are overpriced and mediocre food,but they are fun, except for the traffic trying to leave.
