Default GPS Mounting

Any thoughts or experience in mounting a GPS ??
I usually have my windshield off the RK and was wondering if anyone had either mounted or seen mounted GPS on maybe the handlebars ??

I have a Gramin c340 and I would kill for a handlebar mount. I have searched everywhere with no luck. Looks like I'm going to have to buy an extra auto windshield mount and mod it.

When I got my bike, the Garmin was mounted with a standard rifle scope mount.
I don't own a Garmin so he took the mount. Didn't see how he attached it.

Unk

take the tank console off drill a hole in the front facing the handle bars, then mount a ball mount, run your wires under the console to battery---wala sharp, clean looking install. it's alittle hard to explain but if you look at it you should get the idea.

I've seen some of those mounts look very bulky and cheesy, however I did catch a glimpse of a Garmin mount (probably the one you are waiting on) from someone in TX, he was traveling to FL and I was on the way back to AZ, his mount and GPS (I think is was a Garmin 2720) looked like it was part of the bike. Very nice and the GPS didn't stand out at all! Let me know is its all you want it to be. I too want to add a GPS to my Road King, but am concerned it will look out of place
