Default Just got back!

So I took a short road trip with the wife, and we just got back. We rode the california coast up to big sur and back. It was really nice. KInda chilly up there, compared to what the weather is like down here in So Cal, but I don't get cold very easily. We found a solution to the uncomfortable seat as the wife puts a black leather pillow under her *** and she's as comfy as a cucumber. Unfortunately she got extremely cold on the back of the bike on the way there. We pulled into lodging about 8:30 at night the first evening, and she was frozen. Oh well, next time more layers. I was so comfortable on my fatboy that I think I could easily do 500 miles in a day, as long as I leave in the morning. My back doesn't hurt, legs don't get uncomfy, wind doesnt bother me to much, nothing. I have no complaints about touring on my Harley. Add the Ipod inside the full face helmet for the safety of my head, and I am such a happy camper it is not funny. Ran into some snobby bmw riders at ragged point, and they wouldnt talk to me. Ehat is the deal with bikers who are still stuck on the type of vehicle they are on. Yes Harley's are the best, but these snobby wierdo's get me. Maybe thery were gays from san francisco as they were riding south. I still don't descriminate, but it is so childish. I mean if I haven't learned anything in 32 years, it is that cant we all just get along. I also have found out that you never know when you might need someones help, and whose help that might be. All in all, a great trip, and I am so impressed with the comfort of my harley on this trip that I am trying to figure when I can go next, and how I can go so the old lady is at home so I can do some real mileage.

That's a great ride. I used to get up early, ride to Malibu for breakfast, then up US 1/US101 up to Big Sur. Spent the night in the red cabins there, and then left early before the motor home traffic fouled up the curvy sections. Did that ride about 5 years ago with my son on into Monterey. Love that one.
