This time of year with the cold and snow,gets me start thinking about where to go on a motorcycle trip this summer.I have been lucky enough to take a trip for the last few years with some of my buds,so if everything goes as expected we will get to do it again.

 

Where did you go and where are you planing to go...I went to Ireland last year and am planing to go to germany this year and like you it won't be till summer coz of the feckiing snow..

 

We are planning to go to Sturgis, but not during the rally.. a couple of weeks after..Right now we have planned from E. Tn to the Rapid City area and cant decide where to go from there.. Never been and my understanding is you can spend 3-4 days there.. if that is the case it may be the turning around point..

 

Go west young man, go west.

 

In Sturgis you can expect to spend at least 3-4 days and you still wont see everything.

 

We spent 5 days in and around Rapid City last summer (early July). We got in most of the rides I think a guy would want to do, but I would have done most of them at least one more time in a heartbeat.

You should catch the badlands either on your way in or out, so don't count that as one of your 4 days, but you'll still have plenty to see while you're there. Have fun.
