This is my first year to sturgis and gonna stay at the chip. What kind of advice do any of you veterans have for me as far as what to bring. We may ride there and either send our stuff or buy tents. We may even trailer them there. Thanks for advice.

if you plan on riding get up early and get out before the traffic gets bad
If you're going to sturgis to party and see a few good concerts the Chip is the place to stay. If you're going to ride the Black Hills, perhaps you may consider camping in the Hill City/Custer SP/Keystone area. I prefer camping in the Hill City area myself as I'd rather ride. if there's someone at the Chip worth seeing I'll go and camp for the night, then leave in the morning as the Hills are crawling with large furry creatures on the roads at nite.
