Default Trip Planner

Hey,
Anyone know of a trip planner that will keep you off the highway? I tried the HD planner but it wants to keep me on the main highways rather than the back roads and secondary roads..
Yahoo maps does the same thing.. I thought there was a site I used a while back that suggested good bike roads as alternitives but I can't find it.

Any help is apreciated.

I've also looked,, nothing found to my liking
I usually use Google maps, little default but.....
You have to force it to the road you want as a general rule..
MY garmin software , you can do it , but it's not the easiest program to work with...

In the old days I'd just spread maps all over the kitchen or living rm floor.lol

I have an ap on my I phone that does its not as nice as having it on the lap top so I figure there has to be something out there.

I've used googla a lot on my own also. I'll drag the line down to a road that "looks good" and its worked out most of the time but not the easiest process or most acurate.

For me its all good and I don't really care so much were it goes but when I'm planning a ride for friends and friends of friends I'm really trying to make it the best I can so thats really why I asked.

Merry Xmas

On the HD Ride Planner, you check a box that says "avoid highways to this location" and it will use secondary roads instead of interstates. Similar option in Google Maps as well.

I am a software developer. I started working on something a few months ago. I keep meaning to try to get back to it, but don't feel very motivated.

Anyway, you can try it and let me know what you think...

The idea was to try to bring motorcyclists together, and allows you to plan trips, using a Google maps integration. I'm open to comments and/or suggestions.

If you have a garmin unit like the zumo I recommend the mapsource program that comes with it. After you've done your research as to what sites are a must on the way to your destination use the mapsource program to map out your route...you can drill down in detail to 500ft. Its easy to use, great to play around with and find secondary roads, and easily transfers your custom route to the zumo...
