i'm like the others above, 755, plan routes and sd card for music. When it rains, i put it away. They dont make them anymore, have to find a refurbished 755 from garmin-$100 or so.

All Zumo has SD card slot, and I have a 16GB card in mine, loaded with music, and extra maps for the whole North America (Canada, of course).

Not sure if you found a power outlet where FloridaFLHX mentioned there should be one, but if you do need one I got one from here:

Not the cheapest solutions, but I have a power port with the RAM mount on my handlebars and one of the short cords they sell to plug it in, so it fits well.

You could spend a lot of dough on a chrome mounted cigarette lighter/charger OR you could buy a charger that hooks up to your battery tender pigtail for $10. If you are using a stand alone GPS (not your phone) you only need it connected long enough to charge it. I suggest going with the $10 charger available at most HD dealerships. Mine works great.

Thank you so much. I finally got a chance to get over to where my bike is stored and I did find the sneaky little fellow hiding down there. Never noticed it before. Ordering a RAM mount and I will be on the road for some long trips now. Thanks so much everyone.

I love my zumo 660. Wasn't cheap but allows me to go anywhere without worrying about getting lost. Works great with my gloves. I hard wired it into my light switch so I don't forget to turn it off and drain the bikes battery. If I turn off the bike it goes on the zumo battery power.

Good to read a lot of positive comments on the Zumo 660. The used 2010 RG I recently bought came with a handlebar mount and is hard wired for the Zumo 660. (Too bad it wasn't included). I found a very good deal with Surdyke and it's scheduled for delivery this Monday.

Now I've got to figure out how it was hard wired. Is it common to wire it into the Accessory switch?

Stopped using proprietary GPS systems after I switched to a Droid phone. My now idle Garmin GPS never seemed to have the the latest information, and Garmin wanted too much $$ for updates of their maps.

With my Droid X I still use the Ram Mount system. But also get my full MP3 library (on a 64gig microSD card in the phone) along with the active map system operated by Google. I have the choice of the traditional Google Maps or a GPS satellite based system. Running the satellite link runs down the battery faster, so that's why mounting the phone on the Ram Mount makes so much sense. I can plug in the phone to the 12v outlet under the bars on the Ultra Limited and I never lose my battery charge.

The best parts is that I also have instant access to weather, the latest reviews of restaurants, etc., and with the Droid X I can access the web to look up all kinds of stuff while on the road ... all from anywhere I can get cell signal. So far, on 3 or 4 cross-country trips, I've not run into too many problems, though I did have signal problems while in the northern Rockies last year.

I also use the system on my ATV. Since I live in Utah I have a chance to ride some of the best quad trails in the country. Nothing like riding the Paiute Trail along the top of 10,000 foot mountain ranges and still getting a cell phone signal.
