Default Planning a Trip!

Several of us from work are planning to ride down to Tenn. July 31st for 4 four nights. Going to ride the Moonshine and some other routes.

Can anyone give me any tips or ideas of other places to ride and/or see while there. I've never been there on my bike before. Looking forward to it!!

Thanks..

From Gatlinburg, TN. take 321 toward cosby, TN.. When 321 ends turn right on hwy 32. From here is a 11 ml. road that is as much fun as the dragon without all the people. After 11 mls the road turns into a gravel road so you can to turn around and come back for even a double dose of fun.
The Cherohala skyway is just down the road from the Tail of the dragon. IMO it is not all people say it is. Wife calls its the Grandparents hwy.

Foothills Parkway is also a nice ride. Another grandparents highway. Pretty ride and pretty laid back.

Best road in the country is the Cherahola Skyway. Check it out.

We stayed at the Two Wheel Inn in Robinsville, N.C. It's on 129. The most direct route from Ohio would take you down I-75 to Knoxville to 129. You'd ride the Dragon on the way to Robinsville. The Skyway also takes you to Robinsville. The Moonshiner is a couple miles away as well. Two Wheel Inn is a no frills but clean basic motel. Each room has it's own private garage for your motorcyle. Garage door opener operated from inside your room. Motel is run by a very nice couple and every night they build a campfire and/or have the grills going and everyone is welcome to come out, sit around have a beer, grill out..shoot the ****...whatever. Nice place!
