Default Goggles Suggestions

This may seem like a no brainer, but I haven't had a lot of luck finding satisfactory riding goggles. On sunny days, my prescription sunglasses do just fine and, generally, my regular glasses are fine for night time. What I need, though, is something good for the rain. Something that won't fog up and that keeps the rain out of my eyes.

The best would be something I can wear over my glasses, but I can switch to contacts if necessary.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

There's a lot of options for you. There's sunglasses that are changeables, meaning the lenses change from clear, amber and grey. There's convertibles also, these actually go from regular sunglasses to riding sunglasses and the temples also detach and then turn into goggles. A lot of people like the convertibles because you can use them in all conditions. Especially if you ride with a helmet. Bobster carries a wide selection for convertibles and changeables. If your needing prescription, we can help with that too!

Non prescription- I would look at the Bobster Blackjack Click Here to see them. This frame fits small-medium size people. This is an anti-fog pair as well.

Roadmaster is another one of our best sellers. Click Here It's a transitional lens. It changes with light conditions. It's also an anti-fog pair.

If you have any questions on any of our products, please don't hesitate to call me directly at 877-897-5630 x 103

Ride safe!

I would also like goggles to wear over my glasses in the rain.
I have some, but got caught in a downpour today and had rain
getting inside the goggles.I had to pull them down so I could see.

Bugz googles. Double lensed to resist fogging. You can find them at Aerostich. I've had a pair for years.

As far as fogging. I've only had a problem one time in a real cold rain when I was running a fever. As an anti fog agent in diving I've always used spit (real spit) but I know of several folks that swear by Cat Crap. (a product you buy, not real cat poop)

Thanks for all the responses.

I decided to run around yesterday and see what the local shops had. The Yamaha dealer had off-road type goggles by Scott that would fit the bill, but kind of goofy looking on a road bike. $50. Another "discount" place had the same goggles for $65. These were "OTG" - or Over the Glasses and fit fine, even over my sunglasses.

The Honda dealer had nothing.

I was reluctant to go to the Harley dealer, thinking whatever they had would be expensive. Happily, they had a cheap pair of over the glasses goggles. $25. They fit nicely over my regular spectacles, but I don't think they'd be comfortable with my sunglasses. I think that's OK because if it's sunny I'll just wear the sunglasses. I expect these cheap goggles (which have no brand name on them, and I immediately tossed the tags) will scratch easily, but I'll see how they do over the next few weeks and try to give a report.

I originally bought these for riding my Deuce but liked the feel so much I now wear them with my Street Glide. You'd probably need your contacts though. When I wear my one contact (only need for 1 eye) the goggles keep out all air that might irritate the lens. They come in tinted, clear and yellow. They are always on ebay and come in a few different styles. This bookmark is a style that I have never purchased.

Was looking for some prescription goggles myself back several months ago. needed script with bifocals..Looked at a company in missouri that was at a HOG rally last year.. Wanted about 500 for my script. I found some couple months ago on a site called Rx-saftey out of Middlesex NJ. they've got the foam that seals around the face, my script and transition lenses for under 200.00.. Wiley X Gravity, Black ops, matte finish. Excellent glasses....Have ridden several hundred miles and not once have i gotten the first piece of sand or dirt in my eyes...
Which is important to me because I've only got one good one anyway..

those cheap goggle I got were OK for the light rain, but when it got heavy they weren't too great. Still looking for a better solution.
