Default Long Trips?

Curious, what do you consider a long trip? I've done a few of 1800 miles round trip in a week, with some site seeing along the way.

How long is a piece of string?

I did 1800 miles in 35 hours.

To each, his own.

300 in an afternoon might be a long ride. 300 in a week wouldn't. 500 to me would be a long ride. To someone else that's barely enough to get the motor warm. Short or long, anytime with your face in the wind is a good ride.

You're right Jonesee, to each his own. To me your rides seem more like endurance contests. But that's me.

I have had a few long rides that started in the morning from my house and ended that night at my house. For me though a long ride is when it ends on the road somewhere other than my house.

1 week, 1 BunBurner Gold, 1 Saddlesore, and 1 HELL of a good time. 4000+ miles. Checked a few things off my bucket list. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/road-...me-w-pics.html FT

Our "long" trips are usually 5K to 7K over the course of 17-18 days.

Our "coffee break" runs are usually 300-400 miles in a day.

Longest I've gone in 1 day, 960 miles 18 hours, (15 of which were *** in the saddle, 3 were lunch, dinner, and gas/stretch breaks) with the ol' lady bitching for me to slow down the whole way! LOL!! Could have made it a 2 day trip, but didn't want to stay in a hotel if I didn't have to.
