No you do not have to. 110 a is lame build the right cam and tune will wake it up. Don't waste time with another HD cam or tune. It would be a good idea to get rid of the HD lifters. No madder what you decide.
If you do it find a cam for you type of riding . Do not focus just on HP numbers. What good is a cam that gives you a few more HP in RPM ranges you never run. DYNO bragging rights do not produce a bike that fits you.

Bored to 113", we are finalizing another one now.
Wood cam and our HMM Stage II CVO Heads etc, etc,......not completed as of yet, but running mid 130's torque, and IT WILL crest 140 hp upon final dyno adjustments.
Dyno report will be posted on our company Facbook.

Bought my '13 CVO Ultra new and had the Stage I kit, Rinehart XT True Duals, and a dyno (and tuner) done at the 1,000 mile service.
The bike ran flawlessly and at about 33,000 miles had I had new lifters installed just as a preventative measure since I heard so many bad things about OEM lifters.
I just can't see (or justify) the costs and advantages of spending large amounts of money to make an engine use more fuel and I don't need more power or more speed than my bike currently has.

I had a warranty rebuild on my 100 and had HD install the 117 kit while they were in there. Instead of the SE259 cams, I had them install the SE585 cams because I wanted torque and was not after HP as this is the two-up long ride bike. Ended up with 126 ft/lbs and 117 HP, but getting 100 ft/lbs at 2200 RPM and a nice flat torque curve throughout the RPM range I use. I know there are better cams out there than HDs, but given the circumstance I think it turned out pretty well.
