Default '17 Street Glide CVO 114 Thoughts....Performance

Hello all, I like some on here want to upgrade the performance on this bike. Currently, 446 miles OEM 114 thats comes with the SE sticker on a paper air filter from the factory.

I will at some point upgrade to the 117 stage IV kit, but right now. I am looking to get the add on's that will later compliment the 117 kit now and take advantage of their smaller gains up front along with some looks and sound. Meaning I was researching exhaust systems, and went to the dealer the other day and they had a 17 SGS that had the 114 upgrade installed with a set of RCX 4.5 slip on's that sound kinda tough, without the header and CAT removed. I was wondering if the same RCX 4.5 slip on's header pipe, remove the CAT, with a PRO tuner, air cleaner would work perfect in getting better power now while setting me up for the 117 upgrade later (bigger pipes, for more exhaust to move ).

Screaming Eagle products, are they junk, are there better performance items out there etc....? SE Pro Tuner vs any other ECM....? Does the air cleaner really need or warrent upgrading as in looking at this its open 360 degrees all the way around and I cant see what the SE heavy breather will do as the lower, fairing that houses the cooler rad and fan block any direct ram air that I would think give added performance.....

Finally, i was tossing with the idea of a procharger or turbo charger either on the 114 currently or after the 117 kit.

First off you won't like the after effects of putting a Pro-charger or turbo-charger on an engine with a 10.5-1 compression ratio. You might get all of 10 miles out of it before it grenades. It's pretty evident that you know nothing about V-Twin motors. But keep asking questions, that's the only way to learn.

First off read my post about the dealer voiding my warranty. Anything aftermarket will VOID your warranty. If you have that kind of money, enjoy. Otherwise, I would stay with what the dealer offers. Once you are out of warranty you will have a better idea of what you are looking for and what you can afford.

I understand the concepts of needing to reduce compression if I go down the boost path. As far as the warrenty. Fine, What is the best Header and exhaust to put on the 114 with tunner and air cleaner right now as it sits

Sounds like you should have bought a Hayabusa, not a Harley. Don't get dropping $40k on a bike and then tearing it apart! But that's just me.

Not everyone is a stock guy. and what one does for enjoyment might not be yours.

I took a brand new hellcat and tore into it for more power brand new
or my gnx to make over 1000 to the tires.

if you passed away tomorrow you forget about your fun

You can run 10.5.1 Compression with a Aerocharger turbo, but you still would have the change the cams but it is a waste without custom pistons designed for that type of abuse. D&D exhaust is good way to go.. Boarzilla has a great sound to it and it is a performance pipe.

I would Crap turbo or procharger unless you are going to do some custom motor work.

All and All still not impressed with anything harley motor wise.. Only thing left harley motor wise is the rocker box

Go buy a V-Rod! and leave the CVO alone.
