Default Here we go again.....

Just bought my third CVO, right back where I started with a 2007 RK Black Ice. This was my first CVO and I had a lot of probs with it, left me stranded twice, got a good offer for it,

and dumped it. I loved the bike, but the previous owner didn't take care of it correctly and I think he had someone mess with the engine that didn't know what they were doing. I then bought a 2013 RK CVO in Red when they came out and it ran SUPER hot and three dealers couldn't get it tuned. I couldn't even ride double on it, it was so bad. The more they messed with it the worse it got. Well found a smoking deal on another 07 in Black Ice and brought it home. Fingers crossed, already bought hard bags and they go to the painter next week, I can't stand the soft bags and here in Florida, they get stolen left and right.

Brother,

I picked up the same bike/color this past DEC. My first Harley. Love the bike, I put over 3K miles on it so far. It's starting to show some problems like multiple oil leaks and a grinding noise from the primary drive. I want to pull the cam cover for an inspection of the oil pump and ID the cam. At the same time inspect the roller lifters.
Sorry to hear about the saddle bag thefts. I thought keeping something nice on the street was a NYC problem. I'm sure you already know how hard it is to find replacement older CVO parts. Anyhow best of luck with your new scoot! I subscribed to this thread, perhaps we can bounce ideas off of each other...

Keep the shinny side up!
Richard

if you want to sell those saddle bags, I'd be more than happy to help you make room in the garage and put some dollars back in your wallet
just wanted to add that i have an 08 cvo road king that they would go on.

Yes, I would be willing to sell them for sure. No sense in letting them sit and rot, feel free to PM me.

Yes, exactly during Bike Week. I looked at two bikes that it happened to this year.

Oh man, let me know what you figure out with the issues. I know on both of mine the head gaskets weaped and needed to be replaced. The shift shaft seal is also an issue.
