Default '26 CVO Trike Handlebars

Hello all. I've been less than active for many moons! Now that I'm getting back into the fray of riding again, I'll have some questions.

I have a new '26 CVO Street Glide 3 Limited on order and it will be here in April sometime. I'm in the process of acquiring upgrade parts for the new trike.

Handlebars, upper clutch cable, mirror fairing plugs, etc. The problem I'm having is that I find in HD's parts and accessories catalog a set of bars I like and sure they're going to fit me quite nicely. Part number 55801469 "Fused Handlebar - Batwing". It fits all of the '24 and later Street Glides, but excludes the CVO models...

What's the difference for the CVO's that makes the bars not fit from a "LIKE" fairing etc.?

I'm looking to keep my hands just below the top edge of the fairing and these fit that criteria well.

Any thoughts on why same year/model Street Glide handlebars won't fit a CVO of the same year/model?

I like the looks of the new '26 CVO Street Glide ST, but at almost $900, I'll keep looking.

Thanks in advance.

Dan, best person to ask would be a harley tech in your service department but if I had to guess, the cvo bars have a wider knurl width to clear the fairing.

I've watched several of the KST videos and they do have a great looking bar. I want to keep my grips just below the top of the fairing for wind protection. I think a 10" will be the sweet spot. 12" might be just a tad tall for both the wind and the arms etc.

I'm still somewhat leaning towards the CVO Street Glide ST new bars. They look fairly narrow and at about the right height for me.

Having fully wired bars is not an issue with me. I can route the wiring just fine and save some money.

Still researching bars. Would like to hear from an actual CVO Street Glide ST owner to see what they think about the bars.

Thanks for the replies, Dan

Dan, I put Fat baggers inc bars on mine and Kathy’s bike. They are easy to work with, not sure if you checked them out at all.

Thanks Kevin.

I was going to plop down the big bucks and get the new CVO Street Glide ST handlebars, but they're on national backorder until October. So NO on that.

Not sure yet what I'm going to get, but I want to stay in the 10" rise range. This should keep my hands just below the top lip of the new fairing for a bit more wind protection. Also, the stock bars are as we all know, way too low, but they also bend the wrist outward a LOT. I want something that's a bit more flat across than the stock bars. But with the trike, I'm thinking that I want something in the 33" +/- range in width. I believe for a trike steering in parking lots, having a bit narrower set of grips will be beneficial for more control.

I'll post when I figure this out. I'll check out what Fat Baggers have to offer. I also like KST bars.

Thanks!

I went through the bar searching a year ago for my 2017. I also wanted to keep my hands behind the fairing. I was ready to go 10" until I found the Fat Bagger reduced reach 11" flat top. They are perfection for me at 5'10". Looks like they have them listed for a 2026. Easy install.

Nice scoot! Can you kindly post a profile pic or your ride? I like the bars and want to see how far back they extend towards the rider.

Be careful comparing Rushmore Street Glide/Ultra fairings with the '24+ Street Glide fairings.

Check out Mike, Riding the Ozarks, video on handlebars.

He has a pre-'24 Street Glide and a '24 Street Glide. He's done new bars on both bikes. He has them side by side in his garage and there's a noticeable difference in height between the two styles of fairings, Rushmore and '24+. The handlebars are the same height and are totally different in hand placement between the two bikes.

I just ordered LA Choppers 12" Twin Peaks yesterday. I was vacillating between the 10" and the 12". Factory Match paint company has a '24+ Street Glide shop bike that they just swapped out to 10" bars and his hands are quite a bit lower than the top of the fairing. I may have made a mistake on the 12", but I am tall waisted and 5'-13" tall. So I hope they work out for me.
