Freight and Setup $$$ ?
This morning, I was at the HD dealer trying to work out a trade on an Ultra to a 2008 CVO Ultra. We're pretty close in trade till they remind me of a $400 freight charge and a $1,000 setup charge. This really pushed me over my comfort level.
Is everyone else paying $1,000 setup charges on a new CVO?

Picked up my new CVO SE Springer 2-weeks ago. \\; Paid MSRP and a simple $55 documentation fee and that's it. \\; Unfortunatley, there are some dealers out there charging 10% - 15% over MSRP and then assorted fees on top of that even...

The 2009 models will be out in the middle of July, they will be dealing to get rid of the 08 models. Find another dealer. $1000 for prep is just greedy. Prep around here is usually under 200. Good luck. I drove one at demos last yeay in Sturgis. Best bike I ever rode, just don't know about $35000 price tag.

The 800 freight is obviously inflated ...the 1000 set up is to ...looks like about 1000 worth of "fluff" ...we charge actuall freight and $220 set up ... good luck to you.
