Well I now have 150 miles on the bike and wanted to put more miles on so today (first time I've seen the bike in the sun) I took it for a ride and had a friend put my cam on his bike. The last part of the video is the good part.. Just let me say don't follow close to a pickup truck or any truck. Thank god his 21 year old son was passing the truck when this happened.
why don't people tie crap down he almost killed 3 of us and maybe more of the cars that were behind us that swerved. He never knew he lost a bail of hay he couldn't see out his mirror.
Nice avoidance maneuver. People just don't tie stuff down. Ladders, plywood, chairs, mattresses, hay bails to just name a few. Throw in the tire gators and you have an obstacle course. SJ Ron
Guy on I80in Des Moines lost a mattress an permanately ended a mans ride last summer. Couple cheap bungees would have saved a life that day. Damn good thing you're not a tailgater.
you can see where the hay bail fell it was just after my friend started to the right i went left the burst of hay was the first bounce and i went through the left side of it . To tell the truth guess we were ready for it when it blew off the problem was which way it was going to bounce. Squares don't bounce right lol
Very scary.....with all the pickups here in South Texas, I see my share of that also, Ice Chests, cardboard boxes.....the scariest is flying sheets of thin sheetmetal, transluscent panels or thin plywood or paneling.
There is NO WAY you can anticipate where that is going when it's flying through the air.
Add the high winds we have been experiencing these past several months and you've GOT to stay back from those trucks as you stated.....also as stated, why can't people tie that stuff down?
nice video though.....interesting view from the rear and lots of familiar scenery there!
Looks like you do, but it bears a reminder......Ride Safe.
