Seat Skirt

Seat Skirt
I've got my 76 FLH at my friend's shop to get the gas tank mounts reinstalled so I'm picking away at smaller jobs. I started dealing with the white buddy seat. The seat's in great shape except for the skirt. It had some kind of studs installed, but they are long gone. All that's left is the steel base and 1/4" hole. I'm not really big on studs so I'm hunting for a new skirt. I can't find one in white. Any ideas?

I thought you said the seat is in great shape EXCEPT the skirt and the studs are gone...why would you use the same skirt? If you are restoring it back to original/correct and you are **** like I am, do it right the first time or you'll be spending necessarily IMO. Just the spears for my skirt were $25 per pair plus postage. $200 for a new skirt seems reasonable to me.

You're not wrong. All that was left were the rusted bases of the studs. Long-term, doing it right is the best option. Short-term, money has to go to more important items. I just got the bike back from having the tank mounts reinstalled. Next comes paint. A $200.00 seat skirt is way down the list.
