So, you have no power to the points? if you don't then you will need to check for power to the coil. if you have power to the coil. then you will need to check for a short in the wire to the points (negitive side), or the points are shorted to ground. (when the points are closed you will not have power as the circuit is completed to ground) if the points have "flash" when the engine is cranked and you have no spark at the plugs then you may have a coil, or condensorproblem. If you do not have power to the coil (positive side)
you will need to trace for power from the ign. switch.
