No power after coil

No power after coil
OK guys and gals a little help here... 79 Sportster, replace coil and solinoid and all the electrical goodies. Installed new coil bike fired then died. After running multi meter on all the electrical it is reading that I am getting power to the coil but not out of the coil. This is the third coil I have put on this bike. Am i burning the coils ou and if so what would be causing that?? If not what would be stopping power from going through the coil. Any help at all would be appreciated.
