I have a 1989 sportster 1200. On the way home the other night it completely shut off. I have full power but no spark. I installed a new oem coil pack today and still no spark yet j have power to the coil. Anyone ever experience this? I'm at a total loss and hate bringing my bike to a mechanic because I feel if you have a bike you should know how to fix it but I'm totally lost with this one.

Well, if you have power to the coil, I'd start looking at your ignition module, since that is what triggers the spark. Does it start at all at this point?
