Default Custom cables headaches

Ok so somewhere along the line info was translated wrong and I have a set of Barnett cables that don't fit and are custom so I am not giving up yet and before i cut them and ruin them I would like to ask some questions.

I currently have a S&S Shorty Super E, With the old style cable bracket. I wanted cables with a 47" casing so said cables were ordered.

The cables ordered came in and at first mock up were great. But when I went to hook them up and hide them the "exposed end" in was to long, maybe 1" - 1.25" on the throttle and 3/4-1" on the idle.

My current exposed cables on the set that was removed measure at 4" each (butterfly carb)

The ordered cable part number (Barnett 101-30-30014) goes to a 90-95 FLSTC which is a CV style carb.

So the million dollar question before I cut and hold my beer this throttle cable is will the "new style" S&S cable bracket PN 11-2338 solve my issue?

other than that where can I easily source new little brass ferrules for the end when I hack the extra off the end of these mothers. McMAster, Flea-bay, Tractor supply and the hardware store don't have em already looked.

As Always thanks Gentlemen

S&S make a CV carb stand off that is taller then the normal stand off - and they also sell sleeves to addd to the ends to comp for the travel you have

thanks John. I know it’s not the ideal fix but the wait time mixed with can’t return them etc. it’s seems like the most practical solution at the moment.

Have a box - i am cheating now - filled with all the correct ***** and drums for cables maybe 15 different items - and extra cable lengths way long

we can solder and or small set screw what is needed - but i see this a lot so it cant sit a week waiting on a cable and they have a 1000 different ones

Glad to know John if I get desperate here on my end I will make a trip down to see ya I wouldn't mind taking a little break anyways. It is a headache though. People just don't do things Like they used to and they don't understand anything "different".

Thanks Friend.
