Default Cleaning

I recently bought a shovel head and have been trying to get the bike cleaned up.&nbsp\\; I was wondering what a really good degreaser is for the motor as well as a good way to get the Alloy cleaner and shining.&nbsp\\; I dont have a problem with the little amount of chrome that on it but the primary, valve cover, front forks&nbsp\\;....&nbsp\\;look like SH*T.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Thanks in advance

Any&nbsp\\;automotive engine degressor will work on the motor.&nbsp\\; For the Aluminum I found a product called black diamond that will get the aluminum so you can see your face in it.&nbsp\\; If it is heavily oxidized you may have to use a lot of elbow grease first.&nbsp\\; My sliders had to be sanded with&nbsp\\;400&nbsp\\;grit wet dry then 600 finally with 1500 to get them smooth enough to take a good shine.

Go to the do it yourself area and look up a post by springer_

Step by step procedure with a lot of pictures on cleaning aluminum.

One tip get some rubber gloves when you start sanding

I use Gunk for the grease and grime on the bike followed by soap and water.
never dull and mothers are both a good polish for the smooth aluminum, it the aluminum isn't polished cleaning with a stiff brush works well.
