Default cluth hub removal issue

the issue is, that I can not remove it. It's just that simple. It is an 84 FLH belt drive shovel.
I have already tried to use the tension spring plate and a large bolt and washers from behind to push off of the hub nut (with the hub nut loostened of course). No success. I know it can be done without the clutch hub puller.

The clutch hub puller is the way to go. They made another tool that you screwed onto the mainshaft after removing the clutch shell and clutch hub nut. You then smacked the tool with a hammer and the hub would pop off. I've only used the puller which always works.

Yep, that's a tapered shaft and you can tear up a lot of stuff and still not get them off. Trick is, with a plate type or whatever puller arrangement you can get to bolt up, is to put a good bit of pressure on the center puller screw, then hit it (puller center screw) a sharp blow with a hammer. The hammer blow (shock) is what really breaks them loose.

I used a steering wheel puller. You can rent them for free at most auto parts store

I just got some big washers and welded a 1/2" nut behind them. Then ran the 1/2 bolt in untill "pop".

I also realized I spelled clutch wrong on the OP. I hate typing, It makes me look so ignorant.

Hub puller... Drive the nut on the puller with a tap or two from impact wrench.

It sounds like all the previous info is pretty good, the only other item I can offer to send you the pages from the Harley shop manual which I would be glad to do and have tried to post with this reply but I can not get it to attach,so if you need it I will send it via regular e-mail.
