1979 FLHC. Seat (ditch the Pogo??)
They sell a heavy duty set springs if you 220 and above you will need the HD set or even two HD SPRINGS ON THE SET - original springs with made of real spring steel today they the springs have only the ability of hold a muffin box up
Well I hope I ordered the right pogo set hate to replace my original..but it was a no choice situation really was messed up. I am still cleaning out the frame tube. It was full of metal partials all metallic hope I got most of that out. It's soaking again Marfa. Plugged all the holes. Ordered a set of Zerk fittings from Colonie. This new pogo is supposed to have heavy duty springs compliance to my weight. Hope so, it was a return unit. Alot cheaper at half the price of a new Chrome pogo. Just hope she works out. AJ
Well JohnJzJz my old springs are in not bad shape they look heavy duty. But it does appear that it's been removed prior to my removal, a few spacers are missing. Saying springs are against springs. Should be a special spacer between each spring according to my maintenance breakdown. When I did the spring on my Duoglide pan. It was larger on the piston. My piston on my Schovel.head is a little smaller. My new assembly will arrive FedEx on Friday. And my Colonie grease zerk,, comes by mail also on Friday. Still have the pogo shaft soaking in Mapfa. After its clean I will do an alcohaul soak and dry that shaft out. Plan is to coat the shaft with grease and adjust that pogo to my weight. Coat it with grease. I got green grease. Plan to place a thin coat on the brass insert after I polish the insert It may hsve to replace it , it its got some deap cuts in it from the old piston. Hope this works out. Need to finish my primary drive install my oil tank reroute some wiring around my oil lines. Oh its going back to gather slowly but surelyAJ
