dyna shovel

Default dyna shovel

hi, can anyone enlighten me with regards fitting my faithful old shovelhead motor into an evo dyna, i need to know whether the shovel's pump could cope with the dynas oiltank being below the level of the pump, any info or ideas gratefully recieved, cheers

No problem if it is a later style shovel (cone motor) the oil pump would be good.Remember to check that the primary & chain oiler are plugged off though! Let us know how it goes !

well the first thing i've noticed is that the oil supply and return lines come into the shovel pump at the top, whereas the dyna's are at the bottom of the pump, what d'ya think, bearing in mind the 'gravity fed' mantra.
