He decided to use a 5 into 4 trans instead...for what he wants for it, you could do the same.

5 in a 4 is a waste of money the final is still 1-1 on both no gain unless your running lightweight stroker flywheels and need to tighten the low end from the torque loss .

Bern , check out Ebay I see those trannies regular for $600 or less and a kicker kit is only $120 new with a chrome cover , the heavy duty ones are only $150 .

Rebuild is easy on a 4 speed bro , no fancy tools needed . Youtube has tons of vids to step you through , think about it . That way you know what you have when your done and you haven't bought somebody elses headaches you'll spend more on to get right . Pm me if you want to kick the pro's & cons around I'll give you the no **** bottom line and options

So I found another tranny that a guy tore down to rebuild only cuz its old and leaked ,2nd and 3rd are closer, and it has all the shifter parts I need, paid 200$ figure ,40-50$ on gaskets and kit,,and good to go,,then I'll have an extra case and shifter top with both sell for about 500 from what I see on ebay
