Motor closed up. Intake is on. Starting on transmission this week. Hopefully will get this installed and primary side closed up.

Trans pulled apart. Re-using the gears but replacing everything else. All in all doesn't look bad for a bike that was under water for a few days.

id install exhaust studs not bolts my head-exhaust threads and bolts stripped out

Studs only way to go on a shovel, I use jet nuts, called aircraft nuts sometimes, 3/8" head 6 or 12 point super easy to get a wrench or 1/4" dr socket on and flanged, AN washers and pipes are solid, don't rattle out. The nuts can be had regular or the more common locking. The lock type I clamp a bolt in th vise oil the thread and run the nuts on & off, the still hold well , don't and they can take out.

I have a sizable bag those 6 point nuts, surplus buy before ebay got stupid years ago, interested pm me an address, cost you postage and padded bag for some.
