Heres what I know about the bike. It has rivera primo belt primary with a super smooth clutch, s&s super E, dyna s ignition, gma brakes, cycle shack exhaust, big super comfy corbin seat and the motor is actually from the 76.

it has some wiring issues ( not sure where to start here. I want it to be simple and am thinking about eliminating a lot of it)
kick stand lube and spring
rear brake pedal is all loose and feals like something is missing
check and lube neck bearings
check and lube swingarm bearings
check shocks
adjust pushrods
check primary belt tension
adjust chain
scrub rust
and this thing is begging for some apes
I hope to start crossing things off the list pretty soon. And will be posting pics with a lot of questions.
Any other basic things I should be checking out. My goal is to get it in safe decent running condition then ladder rebuild the 79 motor while this motor is installed. But first basic maintnance.
Nice,
Lucky man in more ways than 1 I would say(Respectfully)
The 1 thing that comes to mind that I didn't see on the list is to check the rockers for the wavy washers that might be in there,
They'll crack&bust apart and the pieces will end up in places that u don't want them to be,
Namely the oil pump gears,
The breather,
It wont be pretty,

Congrats on the new bike,
Im not sure exactly what you mean by the wavy washers but I will look into it, thanks
There's a lot of "character" in that old girl ... Not much in the way of brakes though. :>)
so much "character" you need a wheel barrow to move it around.
These brakes are awsome, even with the old fluid and super low on fluid these brakes work pretty good. Theres pads in there that have plenty of meat, you just cant see them in the pics
