2014 softail slim - I want to keep the stock tire size, but install a chopped custom fender that hugs the tire more. It's tough picking a good fender kit....

Anyone customize their stock rear fender? Can the existing struts be bent to lower the fender?

Shadetree, rsd, nice, looks easy to install, but pricy...I can't tell if the rsd is much different than the stock slim fender.

Any feedback, pictures, advice, or existing fender customization ideas are definitely wanted.

i have the rsd tracker kit, it was pretty involved... i'll be posting a thread of my build with all the details and and some of the things i learned the hard way once I'm finished with this phase of mods (hopefully finish my bars and exhaust this weekend).

i have the rsd tracker kit, it was pretty involved because once lowered the bolts all hit the tire, even the signal studs and wires were hitting, there were lots of little things... but it all worked out, just a little time consuming. i'll be posting a thread of my build with all the details and and some of the things i learned the hard way once I'm finished with this first phase of mods (hopefully i'll finish my bars and exhaust this weekend). only had the bike for a few months and have defiantly been wrenching more than riding, i swore i was gonna wait till winter... lol
