Default Automatic brake flasher

Has anyone ever used one of these?

Seems like a good idea, I tend to engine brake and downshift, and use my brakes very little (old truck driver habit)... but I tap my brake just to flash the lights...

This seems like a good idea.

I watched the video, and surfed their site a bit. You can hook this up to an independent light as well... and not use your brake lights.

Just thought it looked interesting.

not so sure I'd want my brake light lighting up every time I downshifted (or simply let off the throttle)...but that's just my opinion

I guess I'd like to know how sensitive it is. The install diagram shows it hooked up in line with the brake light. If it wasn't sensitive enough you could tap the brake but it wouldn't illuminate the light.

I'm with you SafetyMan, I generally engine brake but if I have someone behind me I at least tap the brake a few times.

ETA: lol, on the FAQ Will chicks dig it? ... Yes, who doesn't like safety. Makes me wonder if they've ever been laid.

I don't have one on my FLHTK, but on my V-Star 1300 I use Kisan Electronics items such as the TAILBLAZER http://kisantech.com/mag/index.php/tailblazer.html?p=1 Works well and I have it tied into my turn signals via the SIGNALMINDER Module. It gets peoples attention for those running minimal brake lights. There are lots of brake light modulators out on the market. Find the one you like and use it. Kisan does have great customer service if that is anything you require.

I have a modulator hooked up to the tail/brake light on my airwing tourpak rack. Don't know if it helps but I have not been rear ended yet.

I have the Custom Dynamics LED front and rear signals and the run/brake modulator. If I tap the brake it flashes. Can program up to 10 different patterns. Works great and does make a difference! If someone is tailgating me I just give the brakes a quick tap and they slow down pretty quick.

I have a Bad *** Brake light (I think that's it). Bought it after following a few guys who had one thru a torrential downpour. You can't help but see it. Has 23 different settings, I'm set on the legal one for my state. VERY visible.

Only see wires how does it hook up to a Harley Davidson? Is it plug and play?

No, it's cut and splice.
