I do miss my Heritage Springer though, but the build on this one is perfect to me.

Had a change of heart....won't be letting this one go! (my wife pointed out how dumb I was to even consider it...)

You made the right decision Redbeard! That is one of the coolest scooters I've seen. I cannot imagine how you could top it.
Two questions please. With sub parts.
1. How were your cam followers and how many miles were on them with changed?
2. I love that cat eye dash. Where did you get it and how did you rig up all your idiot lights?

Thanks Joe! I'm happy to have decided to change my mind on selling it.
To answer your questions...
1. My cam tensioners were replaced with 8334 miles on them. I didn't pay close attention, but I did check them out. They showed signs of wear, but nothing serious. I believe the previous owner was an older rider and didn't ride it very hard either, FWIW.
Part of the reason I decided to change them on this bike was that I already had the bearing puller/pusher to seat the new bearings. Really, I only paid the cost of parts, and I sourced the cams from Phatperformanceparts.com, and at the time they had an online promo code for a small percentage off. I think I had about $600 in the cam replacement total, with the upgrade parts and the cams.
2. The Cat's Eye dash is from a Crossbones, as I wanted black. A Heritage Classic uses the same dash in chrome. You can also use either the tank trim from a Crossbones, Heritage Classic, or Softail Slim. Since I was painting, I had the painter remove the weld/seam on the tank and smooth it down.
You'll need to purchase the information lights as well, as they're specific to those consoles, along with the speedometer backclamp, ignition mounting screws, and console trim. Optional is the ignition name plate. You'll need to reuse your speedometer gasket from your current console.

All prices were from Kutter HD.
To install the console, read back through my thread. Somewhere I showed pictures of the little plate I made to adapt the tank EFI plate to accommodate the Cat's Eye dash. The mounting holes are different - the Cat's Eye is about 1" backwards of the stock/normal dash.

Awesome - glad to read this and could only imagine the sellers remorse if it sold.
As others have said, although you've built several great looking HD's, this would be a difficult one to top. It is very well executed and tastefully done IMO. Sounds great in that video clip too!
