I've always LOVED those style of sissy bars. I just put the Burly sissy bar on my ride. However, I think it looks a little off without the rear seat. I think it'd flow a bit better with a 2 up seat, but still looks awesome with it!

I like it! I had same thoughts. Bought one for my bike and wanted a quick detach one so I could take it off when not needed. Like the look, never comes off now.

Iv got a few shirts I like, but I wouldn't like wearing them every day. So I wash and store them till next time I'm in the mood or need them. I like it with the bar a lot and without the bar, just change it when your ready.

Like anything else, it's personal preference. Do what you like.

It's an odd empty space with nuthin' there. Now if you had a 2up seat or even a simple pillion, the sissy bar would look more like it belonged there...

I also have a detachable sissy bar from HD that I have ridden with and without. Enjoy the option!!

I like it, especially that it's detachable. That way you can ride it either way that suits you on a particular day.

You can always add something to it to give it some "spice".

Here's mine (not detachable)-

It can also be very useful-

Here I am packed up about half-way thru a 2500 mile trip....handy place to strap stuff to.

No fan of sissy bars here, and that pointed long one looks odd against the compact, blacked-out appearance of the bike. Then again - just your own opinion counts.

It looks kinda neat on that bike , doesn't kill the "blackout" look much at all.
Who's is it , I'd put one like that on my 48 for sure , especially if it's a quick change.
A small pillion would let you run a backpack forward and not scratch the rear fender too bad , and handle better if you loaded heavy for a trip.
