Default Big Sucker install (probably been posted a million times)

filter showed up and must go on.

Pulled the tear drop cover

exposed this disgusting ham can.

pulled the vent hoses

unbolted filthy ham can

3rd bolt hidden being cover mounting bolt clip

this filter is terrible... i'm 99% sure the dealer didn't even touch it... it has prompted me to do a full service this weekend. no telling what else was 'kinda' done

Yep, that's why I went with the DK Custom 587 with their breather bolts on my '13 Wide Glide, venting back to atmosphere is important; no hot dirty oily crankcase air back into the air cleaner, engines like cool dry air

Nice write up and images cvaria!

it can be done, just drill and tap to 1/8 FPT, screw in some fittings and plug the vent holes in the air cleaner body.

added a rain sock... operation sporty match continues.

bra and bid popped up as well

yeah it would be nice to vent out and have a not oily filter bottom. blowby has been a constant issue on my sporty. i looked at all the catch cans and fixes... there's even a return to oil tank hose i saw somewhere.
