Some of the CVO's are nice indeed - it's when I look at the price tag I start to cringe ......

Added a custom seat from C&C and then had a full blown custom paint job done over the stock Red Hot Sunglo color. My plan was to ride this bike for 100,000 miles and pretty much figured this was my last Harley. I was planning to retire in two years and knew my income was going to be a lot less than when I bought this bike.

I have my StreetGlide just where I want it. I have pretty much done all what I want to do to it to make it mine, including a Stage 1 and dynotune.
The bike is tight and I really like riding it and taking long multiple day tours with it. Big advantage is it is paid for. I own it.

lot of hate for cvo's on here. i'm sure you've noticed that after you bought your street glide and then added up all the cost of the extra bits to it that you would have been better off to just buy the cvo in the first place.

the cvo roadglide custom is not quite as high as the other cvo models, ie ultras, but they don't have quite as many bells and whistles either. things like tourpack, back seat, cb, etc. but, the way to do it is not to just walk in off the street and buy it. i traded in a paid off sportster for a road king. rode that for 4 years and traded that in on a 2010 road glide (paid off). paid that off, rode it for a few years and traded it in on my cvo. what i pay monthly for my cvo is the same or less than many people i know who have a 'regular' touring bike. in a couple of years, this bike will be paid for, and i have no plans to trade it in on anything new (at this time, but we all know how plans can change )

For a Harley owner, is there ever such a thing as a last motorcycle? I mean, we're always looking. I think I can hear that CVO calling you from Durango.

I couldn't justify the $$ for a CVO when I bought my SG in '13...but the more I look at the amount of money people (me included) put into making their bikes more personalized, well, the price for a CVO starts to look more reasonable.

But as much as I love the CVO SGs, the black with ghost flames is probably my least favorite of the 4 colors. I love, love, love ghost flames on most bikes - but on the CVO, if you're spending close to $40K, it's gotta show! I like the red, or the white...neither of the black ones grab me this year.

Probably a good thing the dealer doesn't have a red CVO in stock - I'd be in trouble.

I've learned that wanting something else than what you have will never go away. I am really happy with my Ultra Limited and want to keep it, my problem is that I just want to add a Forty-Eight to the stable to play with around town.

I spend a lot on messing with my bike. Fortunately for me I've yet to see a CVO I'm at all interested in.

Walked into Durango HD and right smack in the entry way sits a 2015 CVO StreetGlide in gloss black with custom flames. WOW! This bike is LOADED with heated grips and heated seat to boot. Tag says MSRP $38K.

I am reelling like a drunken sailor looking at this bike fighting the temptation to throw my leg over and sink down into the motorcycle.

My wife walked over and slapped me hard up the face and said, "Get away from that bike!"

Damn you Harley Davidson. Now where is Durango HD's phone number, I got to call those boys today.
So since this thread is damn near a year old what did you end up doing ?? And yes a pic of the new bike would work if ya jumped or pulled the trigger !!
