Rick58, thanks for that link that looks like just the ticket for this hauler
RK4ME, just bought a new F150 2016 Super Crew with the 5 liter V8 and max tow package. We actually bought a brand new 15 left over January 6th,2016 then 6 days later a guy hit me at 50mph while i was stopped and totalled out the truck it was only 6 days old with 350miles on it, finally was able to pick up the new 2016 with alot more options on it and same price 2nd week of february when i finally got back to work loving the new truck and can't wait to get the toy hauler home, still have alot of lower back pain and have appoint to review MRI with pain specialist that sounds like ill be getting the shots in back for the pain.
As noted in the earlier thread the bikes go in the cargo area, if you click on the link that Rick58 posted for the wheel choke for bikes it acturally shows a trailer very similar to ours or the same with a bike in the trailer.
Never was a trailer guy but after recent truck accident and all the traveling we like to do it will sure cut down on hotel cost and like you said RK4ME the relaxing area once teh bikes are out and having a place to eat hang out and relax at low cost sounds great as i get older.
We will post up pics once we get it home and i start to get it figured for the bike and trailer we use for the dogs when we ride.
Plan to pick it up thrusday and then use it over the weekend up in Berea ohio by strongsville ohio be the first test run then hope to get it set up for the bike hauling by first week of may for a trip to dayton miamisburg area for expo there also.
I bought a brand new 2015 Cherokee Grey Wolf 19RR last year. So far it's been to the Florida Keys, the Dragon, Myrtle Beach and used as a cottage when the daughter and her family visit from Ohio and I let them have the house. The tie downs on those were not as beefy as I would have liked. I added two in the center and made a removable chock to keep the bike upright not relying totally on tie downs.
I'm sorry to hear about your new truck being totalled. When I had back problems, I used to find relief by lying flat on my back on a hard floor, so that living space would be nice to have.
Nice rig! Sucks about the truck but as long as everyone is ok it can be fixed.
When I had a similar toyhauler I used Harbor Freight wheel chocks sitting on non-slip rubber mats, then strapped everything down to the tie-downs. Worked great.
