Was headed out to a ride today at one of the local dealers today and hit an oil patch right before the dealer and laid the RG down this morning. Really sucks but we are both ok. With things warming up watch out for the road oil. Everything is pretty much just cosmetic and can be fixed, just blows. Was making the left where the truck is in the picture staggered with a friend of mine and didnt see the oil until it was too late and the rear swung out. Took me for a 360 then carried me about 50 feet or so. Pants got a slight rip and boots are a little scuffed. But everything can be fixed and everyone is ok. Ride safe out there folks.
The guys from Visalia HD went out to clean the oil.

Agree. Glad to hear you are OK. Our bikes are big and heavy, can get hurt easily. Thank the lord you are not injured. The bike can be fixed (actually does not look that bad). Drove my bike off a corner, yes, 100% my fault. Actually bent the frame so insurance pad for the fix (not cheap). But I was OK, just a few stitches, counted myself lucky and I take corners a little slower (just a little...).
Chit Happens....fix er up and be glad you and yours are walking and telling the tail.. it will make a great story once the shock of laying er down subsides..Riding safe isn;t always easy, as i say.. there are those who have been down and those coming to join us..
Glad you are both ok! Install a set of rear guards like come on the ultra, I bet nothing but the guards would have been damaged. Shame on harley for cheeping out, they are hardly noticeable and save your bags if you drop your bike. On an ultra you can literally put the bike on its side to clean the underside, that's how the local sheriff motor officers clean their bikes and rear wheels, seriously.
