Hmmmm. I always thought what made my bike special was that it's MY BIKE. I could care less whether the guy next to me has a Shadow 750 or some custom hugely bored out drag bike. There will always be bigger and better. If we all looked at it that way none of us would have bikes
I agree 100%. I just ment special to the masses. Its what everyone is raving about a Dyna with a 110ci. Its what makes it stand out. Once the 2017's come out and they all have 110's and the CVO's have 117ci engines it will be a wash. Thats all im saying. no matter what bike i buy i make it "Special" when i customize it too my personal taste. I just ment what it comes with from the factory for the sake of compairing bikes..
Why not test ride or rent them and deciding for yourself. Or toss a coin.
Ive owned a 2008 Dyna street bob and a 2012 Fatboy Lo. Both a little different but not by much. I have a pretty good idea. With that said i do plan on test riding both before i buy to make my final decision. Im just on here getting some feed back before i get to that point just to here opinions. Basically just to shot the sh$t about it really. Lol

To add, although I do not have a LR S, I have a LR and I love it. Handles great, looks good, runs great. I'm really happy with it.
...But what happens in 2017 when all the bikes have 110ci and the touring models have 117ci engines? ...
The world as you know it will end upon the introduction of the '17 models. And you get to start second guessing yourself all over again. The "wait for next year's model because it..." seems like a waste of time to me.
You've got a '14 and are looking at trading for a '16. Seems like you don't have a problem trading every year of two so what's the problem.
I'd go with the LRS and put the police boards on it. Here's my LR with the police boards, while not the 2016 and not blacked out, it would give you the idea. I also have some mini boards in front of them on a highway peg mount, but those have been removed.
